Pupils organise their own school trip
The newly formed ICT leaders group at Falmouth School have just come back from a trip to Goonhilly which they organised all by themselves.
The group, which meets on Thursday afternoons, had to call Goonhilly, organise the bus, write letters home and do the necessary health and safety checks. They will now be writing up their experiences and posting them on a new area of the school website.
"This is just another way the Falmouth School ICT department is leading the way," said Mr Cy Marven. "There are already accredited sports and arts leader awards but nothing for ICT. Students enrolling in this group will be organising trips, updating their website, mentoring younger students and gaining ICT accreditation."
