A table top sale to raise money for a charity in memory of Jozef Stasiak who suffered from a life limiting illness has raised nearly £200.

The event on April 13 raised £197.83 for the Jozef’s Dream charity set up by the mother of Jozef Stasiak who sadly died in December 2022 aged 12.

Following his death, thousands of bikers escorted him to his final resting place on Christmas Eve 2022 in a specially modified side car as Jozef loved motorbikes.

Jozef attended St Mary’s School where mum Heidi joined forces with Jozef’s teaching assistants Sue Marshall and Ali Liptrott to continue the charity in his name.

The table top sale had a raffle, a piglet tombola, Easter bunny with egg hunt and an ice cream van. “We had so many amazing donations that we will be drawing our raffle in the next few weeks,” Heidi told the Packet. “I would like to thank everyone who took the time to come meet us and enjoy a bit of time.”

The raffle draw will be held this Friday, April 26 from 6:30pm at the Trelowarren Arms, Budock Water.

When Jozef was starting school his mum wanted him to attend mainstream with his sister so began fundraising to get any sensory equipment that would benefit him and the rest of his new school as part of "Jozef’s dream of mainstream".

She always promised Jozef that she and his teacher Sue Marshall would set up his charity as a lasting legacy to help children like him and in doing so all children.
