The A39 between Carnon Downs and Arch Hill will be closed from Monday, April 29 until Saturday May 4 between 7pm and 6am while resurfacing work is carried out between Carnon Downs and Playing Place.

Access as far as Playing Place will be possible via Arch Hill, but there may be significant delays due to tree works.

The work will take place between 7pm and 6am, outside of these times the road will be open as normal.

Cornwall Council says it needs to implement the measure is to give their teams a safe working zone and protect road users while the work is carried out.

“We know that noise associated with night time working can cause disruption to residents and we understand this can be frustrating.

"Please be assured we aim to complete the noisiest operations as early as possible and will try to minimise any impact should the works overrun due to unforeseen circumstances.”
