Residents given chance to air concerns with police

Two hour-long sessions are being provided by police in Falmouth, to give members of the public the chance to raise their concerns with officers.

Neighbourhood meetings are being held in the Trescobeas ward and the Boslowick ward, where residents will be able to attend and speak to officers and councillors about issues effecting policing, neighbours and the community they live in.

The first session will be held at the Oattra Offices in Tregullow Road on Thursday, May 29 between 10am and 11am. The second will take place the following day on Friday, May 30 at Bosvale Community Centre, Boslowick between the same times.

PCSO Lewis Vague, from Falmouth police station, said the meetings were aimed at giving residents the chance to air their views.

They have been organised as part of the PACT (Partners and Communities Together) process.

This is an excellent idea hosting these meetings, although surely with the time of the meeting in the middle of the morning this prohibits an accurate cross section of the community attending due to work / child care etc.
