Fire crews tackle blaze at property near Breage
Fire fighters managed to prevent serious damage to a house in Carleen, near Breage, after quickly tackling a fire that had broken out in the adjoining utility room.
Three crews from Helston and Camborne were called to the property at 18 minutes past midnight today.
They found a room measuring five metres by three metres, which was attached to the main house, to be well alight.
Crews wore forced to wear breathing apparatus while putting out the blaze.
A Western Power engineer was also called, to isolate the property's overhead power supply.
The fire crews then used a high pressure fan to ventilate the smoke filled property and its roof.
